How I teach Swedish & Danish
Learning Swedish or Danish can feel like a lot – gender articles, particle verbs, weird word order, and all those “why??” moments. I know it, because I’ve lived it. And I’ve spent years figuring out how to explain it in a way that actually clicks.
I teach Swedish and Danish with clear structure and logic, but without the dry textbook vibe or scary linguistic terms. I give you helpful rules, show you the patterns, and share my shortcuts and tricks – so “wait, what?” turns into “ohhh, now I get it,” without the overwhelm.
My mission is simple: to make Swedish and Danish feel clear, structured, and actually doable… and yes – still fun.
My teaching philosophy comes down to three things: mindset, structure, and learning smart.
Mindset: because you have to enjoy the process, be kind to yourself, and trust that you can do this.
Structure: because adults don’t learn languages like kids do. You need structure and logic. Without them, you end up guessing – and guessing is just exhausting.
Learning smart, not hard: because there are tips, tricks, and little shortcuts that make things easier. You don’t need more effort – you need better tools.

Why learn with a non-native teacher?
Native teachers can sound like the obvious choice. But here’s what they often don’t have: they’ve never been in your shoes.
Native speakers know what “sounds right,” but they often can’t explain why. They absorbed the language as kids – they didn’t have to consciously learn it the way you do. I’ll give it to them: they have an inner feeling for the language and perfect pronunciation. But guess what? That’s not always helpful when you’re trying to understand how it actually works.
And it can actually be a little intimidating.
I can tell you exactly why Swedish word order works that way – and how to actually produce those tricky Danish sounds. I know what you’re struggling with because I struggled with it too, and I’ve spent years figuring out how to explain it clearly – in a way that makes sense, not just “because that’s how it is.”
Actually, I don’t accept “that’s just how it is” as an answer. Or “there’s no rule for that.” Just… no.
